Covered market

The covered market opens its doors every day. Let yourself get drunk by the aroma of fruits, fresh vegetables, and the products of our sea!

Built in 1929 on the site of the former convent of San Telmo, it is also an architectural curiosity that should not be missed.

Open: every day from 08: 00h to 13: 30h and from 06: 00h to 21: 30h, except on Saturday afternoons. Place: San Agustín square.

Outdoor market

On Thursday morning, the market takes the promenade to offer you a fabulous amount of textile items, handicrafts … Hours: Thursday from 10:00h to 14:00h.

The Hermitage

Impossible not to visit the hermitage of the Mare de Déu de la Misericòrdia i Sant Sebastià and its statue of the 10th century Virgin carved in wood! Just a few minutes from Vinaròs, you can discover an Iberian town built in the 5th century BC, or enjoy a breathtaking view of the Plana from the Puig hill… An ideal place for a holiday rental in Vinaros!

A few kilometers from the city center, come and recharge your batteries in La Ermità de la Misericordia and San Sebastián (Hermitage of San Sebastián). This hermitage, built in 1499, was a place of pilgrimage in the 16th century. The Stations of the Cross, if they still exist, have been designed to offer an impressive view of Vinaròs – Castellón – Spain.

How to get there: From the city center, follow the Avenida de María Auxilliadora to the hermitage (about 6 km).

The sea and the beaches

Of course, you can enjoy the many beaches of Vinaròs, small and charming coves. But it is also possible to rent a boat for an excursion. For example, to the Columbretes Islands , an group of 4 volcanic islands located 55 km from the coast, will delight to divers with its exceptional underwater flora and fauna. You can also admire the remains of the chimney of a volcano (on the main island).

The coast of Vinaròs has several beaches. To the north are the magnificent bays of Les Deveses, Les Timbes, Les Llanetes, Les Canyes and the most beautiful, Cala Forada. Slightly far from the city, they offer a more relaxing environment, ideal for a holiday rental in Vinaròs on the natural side. Going down, we discovered a fishing area, the Cales. Further south, after the bays of Triador and Pinar, we arrive at the tourist beach of Barbiguera. Finally, Saldonar’s longest beach, like its neighbor, offers a vast area of fine sand. Once your luggage is in Vinaroz, Spain, you can take advantage of the numerous leisure facilities.

The archipriestal church of the Mare de Deú de l’Assumpciò.

16th-century Gothic-Renaissance building, the church has a sumptuous black and gold facade, built between 1698 and 1702 by Juan Viñas and Bartolomé Mir: a typical model of the Valencian baroque. Difficult, after having visited it, not to praise Vinaròs and the architectural genius of the Iberians!

St. Augustine Square

Gather several buildings with disparate styles. There is the Wenceslao Aiguals Municipal Auditorium in Izco, built on the ruins of the Agustino convent. Next to him, the Municipal Market, a shopping center in the form of a basilica, was built in 1928.

For sports enthusiasts, a Yacht Club , of course, but also a sports hall , a tennis and squash club, a Heated pool and a soccer field .
